After heading back home from their hectic day, Maya dropped Lulwa home, and went back to her house. She drove back home quietly in the car with no radio on, nothing, just thinking about HIM, (5aled)…she wondered how his relationship was with Tahani, if he truly loves her, when are they getting married…
she was lost with her thoughts, until she reached back home.

Maya was watching Dr.Phil when her phone rang..

“Aloo hiii” Maya wondered why Tahani was calling

“inzain bass mara thanya we’ll make it clear to her ina we can’t go, unless kila banaat” Lulwa said… she was annoyed.. she hated doing things her parents didn’t know about, Maya didn’t as well but Maya’s mom was cool sometimes, she would let Maya get away with it without telling her dad (but only under special circumstances).
“inzain we will.. yalla i’ll cu after tomorrow haa..we meet there or go together?” Maya asked, although she knew the answer
“go together” Lulwa answered, “be at my house at 7:30 3shan we leave 7:45 and reach there at 8″ Lulwa calculated the time they needed..

Maya was excited about their ’6al3a’ she was looking forward to it since the day Tahani called..
‘am i so happy because i’m going out with Tahani’ she thought to herself as she was picking out her outfit, ‘or because HE’s going to be there’ she wondered…
Maya looked through each closet 5 times.. she sat there like a girl on her first date, not knowing what to wear..she picked out everything from her closet, tried out half of them, and FINALLY decided to wear her blue dress, that reached her knees, and was extra fit on her, and made her look like a model..she put some make up on, eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lipgloss, wore diamond studs earings, a tennis diamond bracelet, and her silver Gina heels…

Lulwa decided to wear a plain white skirt, with a white sleevless top and a baby pink glittery cardigan on top of it, with her golden heels and matching miumiu clutch.. she hated not telling her parents about the guys being there, but she decided to act as if she didn’t know they were coming, just for her friend’s sake…just thins once.. she looked at herself one more time in the mirror, saw that something was missing, so she added a second coat on her mascara and more blush on her cheeks and put on her pink lipgloss, put a hairband on and went downstairs to wait for Maya

“aloo maya wainach?” Lulwa said all in one breath

They drove off to monsoon in a good mood.. the didn’t talk about 5aled.. although he didn’t leave Maya’s mind for one second…they put on their favorite arabic song

‘he’s not here’ maya noticed to herself, she was half dissapointed, half reliefed
Tahani was wearing a purple silk dress, with a black belt, and black satin high heels, and her engagement ring..
as they were about to sit down…’—-’ Maya’s mind went totally blank, she couldn’t think, talk, or move..she was mesmorized… her heart skipped a beat.. he did that to her everytime she laid eyes on him, it was like a jolt inside her body, like her heart just had an electric shock..

his voice was so sharp and sexy that it made Maya have butterflies in her stomach
“3laikom ilsalaam” Lulwa replied while Maya was smiling quietly
5aled shaked hands first with maya, then with lulwa and sat down on his chair next facing Tahani, next to A7mad…

As they ordered their food, Maya thought she could sense a sort of tension between Tahani and 5aled..
A7med was so sweet, talking to Lulwa about his work as a banker, and how they grew up taking care of Tahani, as she was their only sister

They continued their meals, talking, making conversations, each telling a story about their childhood…Maya tried acting normal, but she couldn’t, not when HE was in fron of her, not when he made her feel all these feelings that she thought were not in her place to feel ‘Tahani is the only girl who should feel like this’ she reminded herself… ‘oh god i need to freshen up’
Maya excused herself from the table, and went to the bathroom..
she looked at herself in the mirror, ‘i look pretty’ she thought.. ‘bass shilfayda’…she put on some more lipgloss and left the bathroom, and to her horror, there he was, standing in front of the girl’s bathroom…she literally felt her heart flip…she bent her head down (she knew that she was blushing but she couldn’t help it), tried to walk away but he blocked her way..
“Maya 9a7?” he said
“ee” Maya said in a low voice, still looking at the floor
“u’re a quiet person? wela inty saakta ilyoum l2na feeh shay?” he asked her in a way that he knew exactly what was wrong with her..
‘am i that obvious’ Maya thought
“um laa mafeeny shay” she said all flushed up and red
“akeed?” he asked one more time, in a devilish tone, yet gentle
Maya looked up at him, he was much taller than her, she could smell his manly perfume and that made her wanna scream, she loved men’s perfumes
“ee” she said, barely in a whisper, that made him look at her even more deeper, as she forced herself not to smile, and gestured for him to let her pass..

he just stood there looking at her, not taking his eyes off of her..

Maya went downstairs, had breakfast with her mother, went back up to her room and called Lulwa.

“whats the plan?”asked Lulwa wishing she could close her eyes for just 10 more minutes

“uummm yaa ok i kinda need some stuff myself..” said Lulwa

Maya decided to wear her dark blue skinny jeans, with a crispy white Ralph Lauren shirt, and golden sandals to show off her painted toes, and a black chanel bag that she hung on the side of her back, and golden earings to match the sandals, she filled her hand with bracelets, put on some lipgloss and eyeliner, took her phone and stepped out of the house..
She started the car, turned the radio on, wore her sunglasses that she kept in her car, and headed off to Lulwa’s..

Lulwa stepped out of the house, wearing a pair of jeans and a purple top that had a ribbon on the back, and purple ballerina shoes that matched her outfit, carrying her white Gucci bag she bought in the summer..she looked even prettier with her sunglasses on.
“hiiiii” Lulwa said excitedly
“hiiiii” Maya gave Lulwa a kiss on both cheecks, “lets go!”
they drove off together, with the radio on, laughing and chatting about everything until the reached the carpark of seef mall.
“hey lulu isn’t that the Ferrari we saw yesterday?” Maya wondered

“madry..yalla lets get in” Maya said thinking ‘could it be him? the one who made my heart skip a beat?’
they went straight to sephora, Lulwa needed a bronzer, and Maya wanted to check out their new make up.. after sephora they shopped and shopped and shopped, although they didn’t buy much, mostly just trying on stuff, making fun of each other, laughing, chatting, just like any two best friends…
“yalla maya te3abt lets go crepe cafe, 5a6ry fil crepe ily 3la nutella..yuuum” said Lulwa, her stomach making funny noises
“ee yalla ana b3ad 7addy 5a6ree feeh!” maya laughed
They went up to the crepe cafe, made their order, and sat on the table. They both ordered crepe with nutella and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and milk tea to drink.
They sat their eating their crepe, sipping their tea, talking and laughing together, both happy to be there..
Maya’s heart skipped a beat..
‘shit’ she thought
Lulwa turned to see what Maya was looking at..”omg its him!” Lulwa whispered in a low voice
“……ya….” Maya said, dazed off by what she’s looking at..
she was looking at the most beautiful creature in the world, she was looking at the one who made her melt, the one who made her heart stop beating, the one who made her think about him, the one she didn’t know if she could ever have…
He saw her, noticed her from the party, smiled at her, nodded and went to place his order..
“omg he’s gonna stay here!” Maya chuckled
“ya i can see that” Lulwa answered with a smile on her face
“ohoo.. shasawy”Maya complained

“look” Maya said pointing somewhere, “it’s Tahani!” Maya smiled a broken smile..’so its her finace after all’ Maya thought sadly

“so that can’t be her fiance!!” Maya said over excited
“maybe she’s with her brother maya shfeech hahaha” Lulwa laughed at her friend
“oh ya .. right” Maya said sadly again
Tahani saw them sitting on a table, waved at them, and went over to them to greet them..
“hiiiii banaat shloonkom??” Tahani greeted them smiling..’she always seemed so happy’ the girls thought..’and gorgeous’
Tahani was wearing white skinny jeans, emerald green short sleeve blouse that made her skin color stand out, a pair of silver high heel sandals, and a white belt in the middle, showing off her amazing figure, carrying her tanned Hermes 35 cm bag, with her straight hunny brown hair and perfect eyes. She simply looked amazing.

Maya and Lulwa are best friends, more like sisters, they grew up together and always loved hanging out with the same group of friends, they stuck by each other’s sides and had each other’s backs..in a way they completed each other..

They had the rest of the day to go get ready, do their hair, nails and stuff for the party. It’s the party of the year.. everyone who was someone is invited to it and everyone’s going..
It was Tahani’s graduation party, they were graduating from university so it’s going to be BIG..she was the girl that had everything.. she had it all.. the looks, the style, the fiance, the money.. everything you could possibly imagine..she’s the only daughter out of 3 boys.

After coming back home from her exhausting day in the salon.. Maya spent the rest of the time looking for something dressy to wear to the party. She agreed on a plain black strapless BCBG dress, that was til above her knees, showing off her long tanned legs, with a silver Gina high heel sandals, filled with crystals, and a Jaeger shiny clutch that matched her outfit perfectly. She decided to put half her hair up with a shiny clip, leaving out small bangs. Maya loved to dress up no matter where she was going, and loved wearing make up (not too much though, she loved the natural look).. just as she was about to put her lipgloss Lulwa called..
“Mayaaaaa i’m outside” Lulwa said, she hated waiting, she’s never patient
“coming” Maya said.. “byeeeee mama!! byeee baba!!” she yelled heading to the door.
” wow gurl!! u look gorgeous! lemme see!….bitch i hate u!” complained Lulwa, she was never the type who dressed up, she only did that occassionaly and doesn’t do a good job on that, but her pretty face always got the attention, she didn’t need dressing up.
“hahahaha look at u too pretty face!.. u look stunning” maya complimented her..
“yaa yaa.. if i was a guy i swear u’d sweep me off my feet!” Lulwa said as she started the radio putting their favorite song ‘it’s like i waited my whole life..for this one night.. it’s gona be me u and the dancefloor.. cuz we only got one night.. double ur pleasure.. double ur fun.. and dance forever ever ever..forever ever ever ..forever on the dancefloor..’
they sang along on the way.. until they reached the party..

“Tahani!!” they both called after her
“Heeeeeey u guuuys u made it! i’m so glad” Tahani greeted them with kisses and a warm smile
“nice party” said Lulwa
“ya it is” said Maya
“hehe thanks guys..i swear i’m so glad u’re here..catch up with u later..dance..do whatever.. have fun! the party’s urs!” Tahani said with a wink and went off to greet other people.
‘It’s an all girls party, outside by the pool, and to their luck, the weather was amazing..
“did u see Tahani how beautiful she is…mashalla i wish i was her sometimes.. she seems so happy.. a7sidha sometimes u know..” said Lulwa
“u shouldn’t lulu tara no one’s happy all the time.. lazim shway ups and downs” said Maya
“yaa well” smiled Lulwa

‘i wanna take u awaaay lets escape into the music dj let it plaay.. i just can’t refuse it.. like the way u do this.. keep on rockin to it..plz dnt stop the plz dnt stop the plz don’t stop the music!!’ “luluuuuuuu lets dance!!” Maya screamed through the music
“come on!!” Lulwa said pulling Maya’s hands
Tahani joined them, dancing, moving around with their hands up in the dark, the dj lights rolling in different places, and smoke popping out of no where… they each showed off their moves and danced laughing happily to the rythm..

2 hours later

they sat on the tables by the pool, each carrying their plate full of food.
Maya noticed Tahani sitting alone on one of the tables staring into space..
“i’ll be right back” Maya told Lulwa putting her plate on the table and walking over to Tahani
“hey Tahani..everything ok?” Maya asked concerned about her
“ya thanks, sometimes in life we have to sacrifice right?” she answered with a sad smile
“what do-” Maya started asking but was cut off with Tahani’s phone ringing
Tahani gestured by her hands for her to hold on a minute, but Lulwa ordered Maya to eat since her food was getting cold…

‘its probably nothing’ Maya told herself, she couldn’t deny that Tahani looked happy and that maybe she was having a bad day that’s all..
After eating dancing again, laughing, talking, it was time for them to head back home…Maya’s curfew was to be at home by 12:30 am on special ocassions..
“yalla lulu lets go” Maya said
“ya lets go i’m tired” Lulwa said…
they both went to Tahani, said their goodbyes
“thanks guys for coming, and thanks Maya for asking me if i was ok back there” Tahani smiled
“no biggie i just noticed something was up.. u can call me anytime if u need someone to talk to” Maya said back..
“sure i will” Tahani smiled at her friend who was concerned about her and thought better than to tell her the real reason of what’s going on in her life… some things are better kept unsaid she told herself..
“ok so bye see u soon” they waved

As they left the gate, going to the car, a guy wearing white thob and red ’3etra driving a red Ferrari car came in, parked the car and got down..
“I wonder who that is” Maya told Lulwa
“probably some rich guy or someone” Lulwa replied
just about when Maya was opening the car door to get into the car, he turned around….
‘o…m…g’ Maya thought..’i think im gonna faint’ she stood there frozen unable to move just mesmorized by him, he was tall, thin, had broad shoulders, dark eyes and the most dazzling smile Maya ever saw..
he looked at her, a look that would’ve melted ice with a half smile that drove her crazy and gave her a nod and walked past her…as she stood there paralyzed..
“MAYA! yalla we gotta go!” Lulwa yelled into her ears
“ok” she whispered.. ‘where did my voice go’ she thought
she turned aroun to take one more look, and at the same time he turned to look at her one more time before he went in…his eyes didn’t move an inch away from her, and her heart skipped a beat..it was as if they connected by their eyes..a feeling Maya never felt before..
“ok what was that all about?” Lulwa asked curious for an answer, as she started the car..
“ma3arf lulu ma3arf.. who’s he?” asked Maya desperate to know who he was..
“since it’s an all girls party it might be Tahani’s brother going back to the house..” lulwa concluded..
“i guess..” said Maya
“or maybe he’s her fiance?” added Lulwa
“maybe” Maya said, hoping that he’s not

“Thnxx lulu for dropping me… luv u byee gnite!” Maya kissed Lulwa on the cheek and went inside the house…

Maya undressed, washed her face, brushed her teeth, and went to bed thinking about HIM and his beautiful eyes and dazzling smile.. she felt her heart skip another beat just thinking about him and remembering the look her gave her that made her melt from inside…
‘is it love?’ she thought to herself..and closed her eyes to sleep…’he might be Tahani’s brother’ she told herself…..
