i was writing it when my sister read it and was you are so weird !!!!!!!!!

she was like you like blood. She told me you must be gothic but the modern gothic.

I was like its normal to like blood and its beautiful red color. I also feel like donating blood it is a very nice experience.

walla the blood is so warm when it comes out . Its color is to die for i would love a dress the same color as my blood.

i know you are thinking twice about my sanity right now. LOL

well its the truth and i think it is weirdbut what can i do.

I saw nothing, everything was pitched black, so much for getting my hopes up.

It was then that I realized that I couldn’t see anything due to all the bandages stuffed over my eyes. Hope was rebuilt in me in a matter of seconds, I kept hoping that I may see light, just a glimpse of it if I had lifted the bandages.

I moved my hand really slowly to move the bandage slightly, I returned it as soon as I moved it, my eyes pained severely.

No that’s not possible, my eyes hurt me, which means that what I just saw was light, yes that wasn’t black, is it possible? But

I sensed Cala moving, she obviously woke up. Ok now this is the moment that determines everything, I know that she might hate me but this is the last step.

Cala: Bandar, 7abeebi inta gimt?

Bandar: mm

Cala: 3umri shlounik al7een? Do you feel any pain? Are you okay? Tabi ay shay? What can I get you?

Bandar: Cala why am I not seeing anything?

Cala: 7abeebi 3alashan il bandages akeed mint shayif shay, let me call the doctor.

The doctor came in

Dr: Helloo Bandar I see you look in good shape.

Bandar: Doctor why am I not seeing anything?

Dr: How about I examine ur eyes? Please dear may you get out of the room while I finish my examination.

Cala: Sure

She went out and the doctor started to examine me.

Bandar: Dr I really can see, I just want to make it a surprise for my family (ya3ni shbagoola hatha bashoof etha Cala tabeeni wana 3amay wila bithidni begool hatha maynoon)

Dr: ohh I see he was laughing. I’m really glad that the operation had succeeded, congratulations but their are some precautiousness that I want you to be aware of.

Bandar: Sure doctor, anything

The doctor explained to me all the instructions that I had to follow, I had to avoid light as much as possible. The bandage is staying on my eyes for a week, and I have to wear sunglasses followed by that. I must avoid light as much as possible, but the result was all worth it.

Cala came in

Dr: I’m really sorry dear

Cala came running to me, I can tell from her footsteps and the amount of time that she had reached my bed

Cala: 7abeebi don’t worry it’s all gonna be ok, we can be just like Gabi and Carlos but I promise I’ll be better than Gabi I won’t do things behind your back and use my hands to remove raisins from your food.

I couldn’t help but chuckle that was the only answer that I needed, you see my dear readers I wanted to know if Cala would still be willing to stay with me even if the operation didn’t work and say I was to be blind my whole life.

I hugged her and informed her and her cheeks were filled with tears of happiness the moment the news escaped my lips, she hugged me with a strenghth that I never thought a little person could have

Cala: How could you even think that? For better and worse 7abeebi not better and better.

She called my parents after that just informing them that I woke up afraid that they’ll rush on their drive to the hospital and they arrived before we knew it.

I told them the happy news and all I could hear after that were mama’s sobs with Cala’s. Such drama queens and my dad and I were laughing the whole time. I must say that the happiness that sounded through their voices didn’t compare to the pain I was feeling from after the operation. The nurses asked my family to leave telling them that I needed my rest. Yes I did say my family, not my parents and Cala because I consider her a part of my family from now on.

Cala

This past week had been really hectic for me, I was really busy preparing for Germany, arranging and booking flight tickets, hotel and everything. Bandar offered to do all these things but I simply refused. The deal with my parents was that I was to stay at the same hotel that Bandar’s family was staying at, SCORE, twice the fun.

Just when it seemed that Bandar and I couldn’t be more in love or get any closer I was wrong, we were bonding in an enormous way.

Today is my flight to Germany, everything has been arranged and of course all the attempted work that I ‘ve done had went to nothing since it turned out that baba had booked everything for me with Bandar’s father. Could this get any sweeter?

Bandar

I’m supposed to get operated today, to say the truth I’m beyond scared. Or intimidated you may say, not of the operation itself but of how my loved ones are gonna handle the news if the operation hadn’t succeeded.

Cala hasn’t left my side since then, she made up an excuse to my parents telling them that the course that she wanted was full and that they did not accept any more students. They fell for it of course, my dad offered if she wanted him to talk to the dean but she kindly refused. I can tell that my mom really did like Cala, they were bonding amazingly. She was great to be around with, I mean who wouldn’t like her.

Cala

It has been five hours since Bandar was taken to the operation room, I’m really starting to worry, they said that the procedure should take 4 hours why is it taking 5? Bandar’s parents hadn’t left his side they have been more than supportive and none of us had high expectations except his mom a little bit, you could see that she’s eager to know the result just like the rest of us. But of course, she’s just like any other mom, she doesn’t want to see her own son forbidden the gift of sight.

The doors opened wide, and I saw the doctor coming out of, we all ran to him as soon as he came out.

Bandar’s dad: How did the operation go doctor?

Doctor: we faced a little diffuclties througout the procedure but thankfully we overcame all the obstacles.

Cala: How is he now?

Dr: I can’t guarantee you that he had regained his sight back, only Bandar can tell us himself when he wakes up, now excuse me I have another operation.

The doors flung by open once again and I saw Bandar laying down on the bed with a cap covering his head with his eyes covered.

The nurses took him to the room and we followed

Nurse: Sir please, he won’t be up for another twenty four hours, you go home and rest and we’ll call you as soon as he wakes up.

After a long time convincing Bandar’s parents to go home and leave me with him, I stayed by his side the whole time, just holding his hand and talking to him. I prayed and prayed for him. (shoosha Bandar needs your prayers right now)

I woke up feeling a bit of weight on my left hand, I could tell that it was Cala, I knew her from her scent 7abeebti she must be tired right now. I tried looking at her direction but nothing, I saw nothing, everything was pitched black. So much for getting my hopes up
