I love the moment at 0:46 when there is a shot of the horse’s tail in slow motion. That shot and the sullen, dark looks of Prince Abdullah bin Meteb of Saudi Arabia, a professional rider, add resonant sensuality to this ad for Saudi telecommunications company Mobily. I found this film to be more disturbing than funny. I am not a particular fan of Jim Carrey but I did see the movie with the intention of coming away with a lighter heart. It left me thoughtful and disturbed. Was it an accurate portrayal of a gay relationship I wonder?
I did like Ewan [...]

Commemorating the 19th year since the liberation of Kuwait in 1991 from the Iraqi invasion of 1990.
On the occasion, I would like to share a favourite positive message, a new song with words by Bader Bourisly and music by Sulaiman Al-Dikan (Al-Daigan) and produced by Yarob Burhama.
(Note: the video is also a sponsored message by [...]

When any of us mentions the word cancer, our voice level tends to go down and the word reverberates in the air like an anathema. Many of us would opt not to go for cancer screening simply because we are afraid of the results. Often, however, early detection and treatment does save lives.
When someone you [...]

The following short film was made to shock teenagers into thinking twice before texting whilst driving.
I think that this kind of awareness campaign should be also directed to all adults considering the number of drivers in Kuwait that think they are invincible. It’s downright frightening because once something like this happens, there is just no turning [...]

Interesting how one thing leads top another.
The news that Mark Lester may be the biological father of the late Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris, led me to refresh my memory of the young actor in Oliver the movie.
I ended up stumbling on an interesting film he acted in with Jack Wild called Melody (aka S.W.A.L.K.) about [...]

Killing children can never be justified nor morally right.
A distraught Palestinian father decries the murder of his four children by the Israeli aggression.
Link found as I browsed from Hning’s blog (wonderful post there), to Clouddragon’s post on Dictionary (Another great post with a thought-provoking discussion and interesting links in the comments).
